Jento Order Rules

Set minimum and maximum limits on orders in your Shopify store. You can limit quantities, order values and weights, and require products to be bought in case packs. Rules can apply to all customers, to customers with certain tags, or to B2B companies. Checkout won't complete until the cart meets the rules.

What you can limit

All four rule types are on the free plan.

Quantity

Set a minimum or maximum quantity for a product, a variant, a collection or the whole cart. A rule can count each item separately, or a group of items together.

Example: a minimum of 10 from a collection. 5 grey and 5 blue meets it.

Order value

Set a minimum or maximum order value in your store's currency. It's converted for customers paying in other currencies, or you can set a fixed amount for a currency.

Example: a minimum order of $100, or exactly €90 for orders in euros.

Order weight

Set a minimum or maximum order weight. Product weights in different units are converted before comparing. The app lists products that have no weight set.

Example: a maximum of 30 kg per order.

Case packs

Require products to be bought in multiples, such as packs of 6. The message tells the customer how many to add or remove.

Example message: "Add 4 more or remove 2."

Who the rules apply to

All customers

A rule can apply to every customer in your store.

Customers with tags

Apply a rule only to customers with the tags you choose. You can also exclude tags, such as "staff".

B2B companies Pro

Apply a rule to all B2B customers, to chosen companies, or to chosen company locations.

First orders and reorders Pro

Set a different minimum for a customer's first order than for later orders.

Example: $500 for a first order, $200 after that.

How customers see the rules

Customers see a rule's message on the product page and in the cart, so they can change their cart before checkout. If the cart still doesn't meet a rule, Shopify's checkout shows the message and won't complete the order. This includes express checkouts and draft orders.

Checking your rules

Rule tester

Build a test cart for any type of customer and currency, and see which rules pass or fail, and why.

Health check

Checks that your rules are active in checkout. It also lists problems, such as rules that contradict each other or point to deleted products, and how to fix them.
